Mount Kenya, Kenya’s highest mountain, is an ancient volcano lying astride the equator, Mount Kenya Park is ideal for wildlife watching, bird watching or mountain climbing safari. This 2 days safari is a short overnight wildlife safari to Mt.Kenya National park located at 193km from Nairobi. You will enjoy high altitude game viewing at a luxury tree top lodge.
Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Mount Kenya
Leave Nairobi in the morning and drive north to Kenya’s highest mountain – the world’s highest equatorial mountain – Mount Kenya. On arrival you will be transferred via the slopes of Mount Kenya to Serena Mountain Lodge, located deep in the rainforest the lodge has an open air viewing deck that looks down on its own water hole which attracts numerous herds of elephant and buffalo. View wild animals including Elephant and Buffalo, and at night there is a chance you may spot the elusive Bongo Antelope and Leopard. Dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge or similar.
Day 2: Mount Kenya – Nairobi
After breakfast you will enjoy a forest walk to learn more about Mount Kenya national park birdlife afterwards descend the slopes of Mount Kenya and start your scenic drive back to Kenya’s capital – Nairobi. Lunch On-route before you arrive back in your hotel in the late afternoon or dropped off at the airport for your other flights.
