Day 1: Nairobi/Masaai Mara
0930hrs: Leave Nairobi for Masai Mara Game Reserve, picnic lunch
en-route. On arrival proceed to the lodge. After a short rest proceed
for a game drive in search of Black Maned Lions, Elephants, leopards,
Cheetah, Buffalos and other plain's game. Return to the lodge for dinner
and overnight.
Day 2: Masai Mara
0630hrs: After breakfast, proceed for an early morning game drive.
Return to lodge for lunch. 1600hrs. After lunch, a further game drive.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Masai Mara
Full day game viewing in the Mara with an option nature walk or
visit to a nearby Masai village in between the meal breaks. Dinner and
overnight at the lodge. (Masai village visit available at extra cost).
Day 4: Masai Mara/ Naivasha
After breakfast, leave for Lake Naivasha. After lunch, visit Hells
Gate National Park and the geothermal power plant. Proceed to Fisherman's
lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha/Lake Nakuru
Leave after breakfast and drive to the home of millions of flamingos
and the home of the white rhino and about 350 different species of birds.
Its known as an "Ornithologists Paradise". Dinner and overnight
at the hotel/lodge.
Day 6: Bogoria/Baringo
After breakfast drive to Bogoria where the hot water springs abound
and plenty of medicinal springs. After lunch, visit Lake Baringo. A boat
trip to see various species of birds and very ancient caves. (The boat
ride is only one (1) hour. If you require more hours, one pays direct).
Dinner and overnight at a hotel or lodge.
Day 7: Samburu
After breakfast, leave for Samburu via the Thompson falls. Lunch
en-route arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 8: Samburu
0630hrs: After breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive.
Return to the camp/lodge for lunch. 1600hrs Another game drive. Dinner
and overnight at the lodge.
Day 9: Samburu/Mt. Kenya
After breakfast, leave Samburu for Mount Kenya (Nanyuki) arriving
in time for lunch. After lunch, visit the Mau Mau caves (where Kenyan
Freedom Fighters could hide from the British Troops during the struggle
for Independence). Dinner and overnight at a hotel or lodge by the slopes
of Mt. Kenya.
Day 10: Mt. Kenya/Amboseli via Nairobi
After breakfast, drive south via the biggest open-air market in
East and Central Africa (Karatina). Proceed to Nairobi arriving in time
for lunch in one of the restaurants. Continue to Amboseli via Kenya/Tanzania
border (Namanga) arriving in Amboseli late afternoon. An evening game
viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 11: Amboseli
Early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast have
a whole day game viewing. Optional:
- Masai Village visit
- Nature walk
- Swimming in one of the lodges. (all at extra cost)
Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Amboseli/Tsavo West
After breakfast drive via Chyulu hills to Tsavo West National
Park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive and a visit
to Mzima Springs (The source of drinking water for Mombasa). Return for
dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 13: Tsavo West/Tsavo East
After breakfast, drive to Tsavo East which is renowned for its
large numbers of Elephants and the famous Man Eating Lions (during the
building of the Kenya/Uganda Railway in 1890). Lunch on arrival. Game
drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 14: Tsavo East/Nairobi or Mombasa
After breakfast and your final game drive, return to Nairobi or
continue to Mombasa for some days relaxing on the beach before your flight
back home.
